PRO TIPS FROM THE PROS

LZ & DENOFA BREAK DOWN THE 651 SPORT

Want to get the most out of your 651 Sports? Adam LZ and Chelsea DeNofa are here to help. In this quick-hit video, they share their go-to tips for dialing in your setup, warming up your tires, and keeping grip consistent lap after lap.

PRO TIPS FROM THE PROS

How to Warm Up Your 651 Tires Like a Champion

Join Nate Hamilton and Adam LZ as they break down the right way to get your 651 Sport tires up to temperature. From safe burnouts to proper heat cycles, this quick video shows you how to dial in maximum grip and consistency before every run.

Straight from the Grid

COOL DOWN, GO LONGER

"Heat cycle. Check your alignment. Check your tire pressure. Cool yourself, your car, and your tires off between runs and they'll last you all day."

HOT LAPS ONLY

Bonus tip: These tires shine when they're warm, so if you're at an event, don't send your first run at full tilt. Give them a lap to wake up and they'll reward you with buttery slides and tons of feedback."

OPTIMIZE REAR CHAMBER

"If you're on a low-power setup, cut some rear camber to give yourself a bigger contact patch you'll get more bite to kick the car out and hold angle longer."

TOE OUT? ROTATE MORE

"Rotate often. 651s wear fast when you're cooking entries or doing extended throttle drags. Flip them on the rim if you're getting uneven wear, especially if you're running toe out in the rear for faster transitions."

WARM 'EM UP ON THE WAY

"I usually drive on them on the daily if possible or at least on the way to the track to get some heat cycles before hitting the track."

ADJUST TIRE PRESSURE

"Dial in your rear pressure to fine-tune the balance between snappy breakaway and smooth control. I usually start around 45 psi in the rear to get a consistent slide without nuking the sidewalls too fast."

HEAT CYCLE HACK

"To help make them last longer, give them a good heat cycle, take them off and let them fully cool. Your laps could double! 26 laps on a set of 651 sports hot lapping in my turbo miata!!"

TIPS

DRIFT

  • Extra burnout before your first run exposes fresh rubber
  • Keep tire sizes appropriate (265/285 on a 9.5” wheel)
  • Slight air-down increases contact patch
  • Note: These tires love heat and proper warm-up

TIPS

TRACK

  • Start at ~32 psi hot, adjust based on feel
  • Warm up tires with easy laps
  • Overheating (greasy feel) means backing off for longer life
  • Rotate tires for even wear

TIPS

EVERYDAY

  • Check pressures often (32–35 psi on street)
  • Enjoy grip, but respect limits
  • Smooth inputs get the best balance of performance + life
