In between, Rich Whiteman fought through the entire Bottom 16 only for his engine to blow on lap one of the Top 16. A 60-year-old track owner went door-to-door with FD pros and made it through. A Ferrari broke down, a $3K Honda Odyssey took its place, drifted into the stadium, hit a wall, and set off every airbag.
